Vegetable oil extraction is performed with the special extraction lines. The process represents the extraction of vegetable oils from oil raw materials with the help of special solvents. The content of oil in the material after the extraction - oil cakes – is less than 1%. The productivity of extraction lines is about 1500 tons/day.

Description of the vegetable oil extraction line machine

The vegetable oil extraction line is controlled with the help of one main computer, equipped with special interface SCADA. The equipment of the vegetable oil extraction line is controlled complexly: with the help of computer the alarm system, blocking, automatic valves and electric motors can be turned on, turned off and regulated. The feeding conveyor delivers the extractable material – grits or granules – into the extractor. The special substance for vegetable oil extraction line – solvent – is delivered by the pump into the extractor after heating in the heat exchanger. Extractable material of the vegetable oil extraction line is washed with micelle, delivered by pumps aimed for micelle circulation. They transport micelle in the extractor. While circulating in the extractor the layer of extractable material is washed with micelle, which concentration is constantly reducing, and then it is finally washed with a new solvent. The oil cake – extractable material of the vegetable oil extraction line that comes out of extractor – is delivered to the toaster by extractor conveyor. The specialized toaster is aimed for removing the solvent from the cake. The solvent is removed while processing in tubs, heated by indirect heating steam. In addition, the feed of the direct steam is performed. Then the micelle of high concentration is delivered from extractor of the vegetable oil extraction line through hydraulic cyclone to the distillation section by pump. The first stage distiller heats micelle with the solvent steam from the toaster, at the same time the part of the solvent starts to transform into vaporous state and in such a condition gradually is removed from the distillation section. After the first stage of distillation micelle is delivered to the second stage of the distiller, where it is heated by indirect heating steam. Then micelle is delivered to the third stage distiller, where the separation of solvent is performed with the help of contact of direct steam and concentrated micelle. After oil goes through the third stage of distillation, it is delivered to the special drier, where all the moisture is removed with the help of deep vacuum. Then the plant oil is delivered to the storage tanks, moving through the heat exchanger of recuperation and the section of oil cooling. Oil distillation and its drying is performed in vacuum, produced by ejectors of the vegetable oil extraction line.

Movement of the water fumes, condensate fumes and solvent fumes in the vegetable oil extraction line

The solvent fumes are delivered to the extractor condenser from extractor, solvent fumes from the distillers of the first and second stages are delivered to the condenser of the first and second stages of distillation, and from the third stage distiller and the oil drying section – into the condenser of the third stage distiller. Residual fumes of the solvent are delivered to the condenser of the special recuperation system from the extractor condensers, tanks for the solvents, toaster, sludge evaporator (cake catcher and water separator), and from the emergency tank. In the recuperation system the fumes are condensed. From the condenser of recuperation section condensate is delivered to the water separator, while condensed fumes are delivered to the absorber, where the contact of the residual fumes with mineral oil is occurred. The oil absorbs the solvent and the clean air is removed into the atmosphere with the help of fan. After the absorption the mineral oil is pumped out from the absorber with the help of pump and is directed to the desorber through the heat exchanger of recuperation section. In the desorber the solvent is removed from the mineral oil, providing the direct contact of the oil with the absorbed solvent and direct steam. The purified mineral oil is pumped out from the lower part of desorber and is directed to the absorber through the heat exchanger. The fumes, accumulated in the desorber, are directed to the distiller condenser of the third stage. From the distillation condenser condensate is delivered to the special water separator, where the separation process of the water and the solvent is occurred. From the water separator the water and the solvent remains are delivered to the sludge evaporator. In the sludge evaporator of the water separator the heating of the water is performed due to the contact of the water with the steam, and as a result of which the remains of solvent are removed from the water. The heated water is directed from the sludge evaporator of recuperation to the gas catcher and then to the sewerage. The vegetable oil extraction line is also equipped with the special safety valves that provide emergency ventilation in case of increasing of the pressure due to unforeseen circumstances. The solvent leakage should be obligatory monitored with the help of the system of detection of the residual fumes of the solvent.
